Community Outreach Program

Community Wellness Africa has a robust Community Outreach program with several initiatives under it, the main one being the maternal and child health outreach program. The aim is to deliver quality and age-appropriate information on sexual reproduction, maternal, and child health care to our target groups. We also address stigma, teenage pregnancies and promote access and utilization of the available healthcare services.

Some of the activities under this program include:

  1. Conducting community-based integrated outreaches with healthcare services focused on women, adolescents, and children.
  2. Facilitating community dialogue and holding forums with teachers, parents, faith leaders, and local leaders to integrate them into our community development initiatives.
  3. Conduct mentorship and coaching sessions to provide peer support to adolescents and youths through community and school-based programs.
  4. Conduct community education sessions with women and young parents on the continuum of care on general reproductive health, including family planning, Menstrual hygiene, prevention of unwanted pregnancies, SGBV, antenatal –postnatal care, and immunization.

Our team at Community Wellness Africa also does follow-ups on community members who need health services and refers them to our partner facilities for care and treatment
